The existing Office On Aging tenant spaces were consolidated to construct new office suites for Adult Probation (APO) and a Magisterial District Judge (MDJ). The separate office suites include private offices, restrooms, conference rooms, break rooms, holding cell and a courtroom for the MDJ suite.
The work included new interior partitions with ballistic protection and bullet resistant transaction windows. Custom casework was provided for the judge’s bench, new security desk, work counters and associated kitchenette casework. The existing fire protection system was modified for the new layout. Electrical work included rewiring existing floor boxes with new CAT6 wire, reconfiguring existing lighting layout including modification to switching, providing new lighting as required by the new construction and new security cameras. Additionally access controls and an emergency notification system will be provided for the APO and MDJ suites.
