This Project was a total reconstruction of the original existing facility and involved the complete replacement of all Mainline roadway, drainage, bridges and appurtenances (guiderail, signs, etc.). The Project increased the number of Mainline travel lanes both Eastbound and Westbound from two to three.

MEC was required to perform extensive coordination, not only with the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission (PTC), but also the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) on this project. Numerous single lane closures and PACES (rolling stoppages) were coordinated in order to safely complete construction operations, while ensuring public safety and mitigation of traffic impacts. The entire Project was completed without any total shutdown of Turnpike traffic. Detours of Pennsylvania State Highways were also coordinated with PaDOT.
In addition to serving as CM on this Project, MEC also participated in design reviews of the preliminary as well as the final project plans.
