This project consisted of roof replacement and roof deck repairs to the North Park Ice Skating Rink Clubhouse. The existing standing seam roof was removed down to the existing 4”x6” heavy timber roof deck. The existing roof deck was inspected to identify and replace any structurally deficient members.
The new roof system consisted of 4” of insulation, and standing seam metal roofing. The roof panels were formed onsite and fabricated in a continuous length from ridge to eave to minimize seams on the low sloped roof. New gutters and snow guards were installed and a new lightening protection system was installed to replace the existing system.
The project also included repairs to the roof’s existing gluelam beam ends. The areas of significant deterioration were cut out and new boards were spliced. All beam ends were capped with aluminum flashing matching the roof finish.
